Backpacking Nigeria: One Must-See Destination!
Valerie over at Backpacking Africa for Beginners, agreed to let me share my story about a visit I made to a resort in Cross River State, Nigeria – Obudu Mountain Resort, located on the Obudu plateau close to the Cameroon Border and built at an altitude of about 1600 metres above sea level.
If you’ve never heard of Backpacking Africa for Beginners, you certainly should!
In 2013, Val backpacked all the way from Cape Town in South Africa to Cairo in Egypt, all by by herself and without using any planes – just public transportation; a trip that lasted 7 months. And if you’ve ever been to Africa, you know that the public transportation system isn’t as developed as that of say, Europe. It was her first time backpacking and she chose to do so in Africa! That experience led to her blog in which she shares her experience and continues to inspire others to see Africa differently. She now lives in Ethiopia because in her own words, she “…can’t get enough of the continent“.
Here’s my story about my trip. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed visiting the ranch.
